This lake doesn't get talked about a lot (if at all), but I was wondering if it's fishable at all after the rain we've been having?

Very fisha me, the lake is full as we speak.
The lake doesn't fish as well as others in the areas as far as numbers, but it does have quality fish.
They have Friday night tournies out there, one just wrapped up in the last 30 minutes. Takes 10-12 pounds to win lately.

The tourney is in its third week, Week one 3 fish for 11lbs. 9 boats Week two 3 fish for 13 pounds. 20 boats
It is a five fish limit tho.
It's a good little lake, in my opinion it fished much better 10 years ago, before the drop in water level.
It will rebound, but as you can tell from the weights there are still solid fish there, no one can seem to put together 5 of them.... Including me, I fished the tourney on the opening night and had 1 fish for 2.25.

We fished the tournament last night and only ended up with two 14's. It was pretty tough for me and my partner but like most lakes it has its good days and it has its bad days. The worst thing about Weatherford is the ramp doesn't open till 8 A.M. and since I'm a morning person that means half the fishing day is over before it begins. It also closes at 8 PM so no night fishing either. You can buy an annual pass for $125.00 which gives you the combo for the lock but otherwise your stuck with the 12 hours its open. Theres only one ramp for the lake so if you dont mind getting a late start its not a bad place.

You never want a drink of water till the well runs dry
