Well, my Lowrance HDS 7 died on me on Saturday. I shipped it back to them and they are sending me a replacement. Is anyone proficient with how to set this unit up? I had someone help me with the first one but did not write all the settings down.

I would like to know the sensitivity settings people are using. I just had my HDS5 mounted on my 'new to me' boat and it just doesn't seem right. Seems like there is more distortion than there was on my old boat.

Scotty theres alot of guys on here that knows alot more than I do but i keep my contrast set on 68 and the rest on auto. Doug at bass pro can help also.

63-68 on mine, very clear ----- 63 works great
