Only been twice in winter conditions. Caught a ton of fish with some good ones mixed in. Is the cool side all that much cooler in summer? Thinking of heading there Friday.

Mark,
I don't normally fish it during the summer but they have a Tuesday night tourney and its been taking 12-14lbs to win it so I'm sure someone will reply with some more info. I did make it over there once during Memorial Day weekend and the "cold" side water was in the upper 70s and the "warm" side was mid to upper 80s. They "didn't" have the generators going for some reason so I'm sure the water would have been warmer and the bite better. We didn't catch anything on the warm side so came back towards the cooler side(before the bridge) and started fishing some pads/reeds along the shoreline and caught 1 flipping and missed a couple on a frog. Then a couple random ones on a spinnerbait along the edges of the reeds. It's a great lake during the winter but yeah don't know much about it in the summer.

Mark,
As for my experience so far with MC in the summer, it's about as tough as I have seen it, we are catching a few fish but they are small and scattered, fished it this past Saturday for about 5 hrs and caught one 10" fish, the water temp on intake side is in the low 90's, but you might go and tear them up, if it was me I would look at another lake right now.. Just my two cents! Bassmanrudy is correct on the results for tournament, but last time I fished it, only one guy brought in anything over 11lbs and very few limits

I sincerely appreciate you all for taking the time to reply. I bailed out based on the reports as well as a serious allergy flareup that had me feeling I had the crud. Gonna get out there soon though. Again thanks to everyone that chimed in. Its appreciated.
