Hey everyone! Anyone want to get together for some fishing Saturday morning? I'm pretty new to kayaking and have only had it out a few times. I just finished installing a new Lowrance Elite 4X CHIRP and need to get on the water. I live in Mansfield and was thinking about hitting Lake Arlington for some bass, crappie, sandbass (or whatever), but I've never been there. I'm open to going anywhere within reason, just need to get on the water. So if any of y'all want to help teach this kayak rookie the ropes let me know. I'd like to get out early to avoid the rain and I've got family plans in the evening.

I'd love to go fishing...trouble is I've got a to do list long as the summer is hot. I just installed my elite 4 chirp on my yak last week and want to get it wet. maybe next time, windows need replacing, retaining wall reinforcing, interior painting and the list goes on..............................................

I want to... but i'll probably end up working on that list of honey-do's to make up for some new rod holders i just picked up On the plus side I've got some tweaks to my rigging I'll probably make while i'm building some new shelves.

Going to probably launch at Simpson (NE side of the lake) because it is near a lot of docks and towards the dam. Will try to be there around 0630 or so... depends on how early i can get the wife out of bed

LMB. Haven't chased cats since the last time I fished with you. It's been a while.

There's a line of storms headed this way. It looks like they should pass north of Arlington. It could build further south so I'm going to watch it a little while before i load up.
