4 family size tea bags and one gallon of water. Put in steeping water, not boiled. let them soak for about 10 miinutes. Sweeten to taste. I use Luzianne.

Here is how I do mine with a Mr. Coffee maker.
Fill the coffee maker with 12 cups of water (full).
Put 6 regular sized tea bags in the cup. I use Luzianne.
Brew.
Stir in 3 large clam shells worth of sugar. Best to put it right in the coffee pot while the tea is really hot.
Pour the hot tea into a drink pitcher almost full of ice.
Stir well.
Pour into a glass full of ice and enjoy.

Put water in a pot and add at least 1 cup of sugar, more if you want. Bring to boil and boil about a minute. Add 6-7 family size teabags and let boil for about 30 seconds. Remove from heat and cover. Let steep at least 15 minutes. Pour in pitcher and add enough water to fill the rest of the pitcher.

If you want some really good tea, buy Community Tea Bags. Here is an old tea making secret that my mom used and I use to this day. Get you a pot with water, add 7 or 8 Community Tea Bags (depending on how strong you like your tea) and bring to a boil. Let boil for a few minutes, then get you a spoon with a small amount of baking soda. (doesn't take much) Remove the tea bags and set aside. Carefully add the baking soda to the boiling tea. The baking soda will cause it to "flare" up, so add it very slowly and stir. Turn off the heat, put the tea bags back in the pot and let it steep for a while. Pour in a pitcher, add water and sugar. Then you have a great tasting sweet tea.

Here's what I use, i buy "Southern Breeze" sweet tea, the tea bag
already has the sugar in.
Boil 2 quarts of water with the 2 tea bags, steep for about 5 minutes, toss
out the tea bags, pour into a pitcher and and it's awesome with lemon.

I buy it at HEB...

Iced tea maker

4 large bags tea (HEB brand tea or luzianne)
1 1/2 cups sugar.

Add the sugar after the tea is brewed, and before you add the ice. We like our tea STRONG here. Sometimes I'll add a bag of lipton peach mango or blackberry vanilla tea to the mix for flavored tea. Independence Coffee makes some awesome tea bags. I just throw one in the maker. But I've had the iced tea maker for 7 years now and it's been worth every last penny. Use it daily.

+1 on community brand; but dont boil your tea. Simmer it just under a boil.

I use a 12 cup coffee maker.
I use 2 Lipton Family size tea bags in the ...what ever the name is for the place you normally put the coffee.
I have a pitcher the holds 12 cups. I put a cup of sweetener (I'm diabetic) in the pitcher and fill it with
water and empty the pitcher into the coffee maker.
That makes about 1/2 gallon of concentrate. Add another half gallon of water to make a gallon of tea.

My mother made sun tea. A gallon glass just filled with water and 4 family size tea bags. Leave out in the sun
most of the day.

I have two of these ice tea makers. One at home and one at my office. By far the easiest way to make ice tea. I use one family size tea bag and put one cup of sugar in the pitcher before it starts to brew so the hot water will melt some of the sugar. When the tea is done brewing is the time you stir the tea with a WOODEN SPOON. A wooden spoon will make the sugar dissolve faster. I don't know why but it works. After all of the sugar is melted add ice, cold water, and stir.

Be sure to add the sugar to boiling hot, or very hot water. I use 2 family size bags to a Qt jar and put it in the microwave for 3:15 sec. The pour the hot tea into the pitcher with 1 cup sugar to 3/4 gallon pitcher. stir the hot tea and sugar till dissolved and a wooden spoon does help. To add a different sweet, add a 1/4 cup honey. After dissolving it all. Fill with water.
