Why are they dropping Lake Bonham so quickly? It's dropped a foot or more in a week, is this normal?

Could be anticipating next week's rains Monday-Friday morning.

Shouldn't be anything like what we had two weeks ago, but a decent amount of rain each day.

It's only 2 inches low and it's only come down 4 in the last week.

The lake has an overflow drain. I believe that type of drain is called a morning glory.

I guess it is actually a Morning Glory spillway.

I dunno where you're getting your lake level info, but I looked at 3 websites and all show that it's come down less than a foot since the beginning of June.

Yup, no one controls the release of water on that lake.
