Left out of log cabin around 3:30 pm to go try for hybrids. With the past few weeks weather and everyone, in my crew, busy, we just haven't had a chance to go in awhile.

Went towards Crappie Island and set our spread. Hit all the humps and ridges on the south side then our favorite hump just northwest of the island. No luck. At around 4:30 we left there and went to spillway humps. We were the only boat there and I was marking a few but nothing extrodanary.

We didn't get a bump at all and was getting hot and discouraged till around 5:30 or so. Then we picked up a 6 lb'er in about 19' on the edge of the hump. Kept on working that depth of water and the hybrids turned on.

We had two passes that landed 6 fish at a time on one rig. Heck of a fight. Lol.
We kept fishing and within a couple hours, we limited out on hybrids ove 22". We had set out cull at that size.
Everything was caught on blue/black, purple/black and a white on white roadrunner u-rig setup.

My new boat does not have water temp but the air was hot, partly cloudy to near full sun, 2-5 kt wind maybe.

Will be back soon enough. Hope the other guys that came up while we were catching, had as much luck as us.

See a 25' express inboard named Carolyn Quinn, that will be us. Always have the VHF on.

I have a video if I can load it.

Ok, I think it's loaded. Click on the picture. Could be a little language so I apologize in advance.

Thanks for the post. I haven't tried the colors of lures you mentioned. I'll have to give that a try. It must be nice having the whole lake to yourself. The spillway hump area was a little crazy on saturday. It seemed like you needed to get in line if you wanted to troll around. We needed a floating crossing guard.

Yeah, sometimes it gets a little fun. If everyone would try to go the same direction, it'll help on those super busy days. We've been doing the trolling thing for years and seen everything. But normally, just take your time and try to be courteous. Even if others don't have a clue.
