It's not an original pattern by any means, but it was my first attempt. I completely forgot to add the ear until after I finished clear coating the bait so I just left it off.

Great looking bait

First attempt is good. Found this paint schedule from somwhere??....hope it helps


Pumpkinseed Perch
1. Prime in white, coat in pearl white and shoot metallic silver on the back fading down the sides.
2. Bright transparent yellow green, shot on the back and fading down to about the mid line.
3. Transparent dark brownish green is mixed up. Shoot pairs of thin stripes down along the sides, taking them about half to two thirds of the way.
4. Next shoot little dots along those stripes, working in a zig-zag pattern, put a few dots on the gill. Thin your paint, then thin it some more. Work with the pressure as low as you can. Remove the crown cap on your brush too.
5. Using the same green from the stripes and dots, darken along the back and the upper part of the gill area.
6. Shoot some orange on the belly. Lightly, more of this later.
7. Shoot some thinned down transparent blue along the shoulder and the mid part of the gill. The blue along the shoulder is to make the yellow we shot in the first step turn a bright green. Again, tread lightly here.
8. Mix up a red-orange, and continue the stripe spots down and over belly. Add some around the lower part of the gill.
9. Shoot everything with a mid-coat clear. Cover the bait with netting and give it a light coat of translucent white pearl. Shadow under the gill, put on the ear and darkened around the under side of the eye with thinned black.
10. Take a brush and put a little red at the end of the ear.
11. Now put in some red eyes and then clearcoat.
