Just saw a video about loyd park partially opening but the lake itself is still closed. They said it was up to the Corps of Engineers and they base how much water they remove on the flow of the Trinity river, which is effected by released water from other lakes. I saw the Trinity today and it was pretty full and flowing strong. Looks like it is going to be a really long time before Joe Pool opens again.

Lake itself is closed. Some camping and bank fishing only from loyd park. Not enough clearance for boats to pass under bridges. Lake could possibly open by July. Parks and marina are hurting for money.

I received an email from Lynn Creek Marina saying that the temporary walkway to the boat slips will be open Friday for slip owners and boat club members. They can also shuttle members to their slips. That service is 8am to 8pm.

While they did not say whether the lake is open for boating, they did caution about hazards in the water. I drove past the marina Tuesday and as stated prior, it looks impassable under the bridges. Boat traffic shouldn't be too bad if only slip owners are on the water.

The marinas are receiving full fees from the slip owners. Slip rent did not stop when the lake was closed. Lynn Creek is probably losing money from it's restaurant and other sales plus it's dry storage fees.

Lynn Creek is going to open this week end for slip owners.

Joe Pool Marina stated it might be November before the slips are available for the slip holders to use. The owner is making little, if any, effort to repair the damages to the docks at this time.

I doubt the Joe Pool Marina is losing that much since most of it's revenue came from slip rental and they are still receiving full slip rental.

All boat ramps at Cedar Hill State Park, Lynn Creek Park & Lloyd Park are still closed and will be for some time. My understanding is that slip owners at Lynn Creek Marina would be the only ones able to get on the lake. Water is still 13 feet above pool and you can't get under the bridges.

Has anyone heard an update on when the store and fishing barge will reopen? Surely they do not plan to wait until the lake goes down.

One major problem they have is electric. Transformers are underwater and power cannot be turned on. If lake is closed to boaters, then I don't see how slip owners can do more than "visit" the slips or go out illegally.

Mid to late July opening and that was before this storm that is coming. There is no clearance for boats under bridges. At full opening it would go down maybe 2.5 a week with no runoff from rain. It hasn't been full open for a week and now 6-9 inches of rain is possible. It may easily be into august before anything really opens. The fishing will probably be awesome!
