Turned into a fiasco. Took my 5 year old out this last Sunday for our first trip in the new boat. If it weren't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all. Had a blow out 1/4 mile from the lake. In the process of changing the tire found a U bolt busted off on the springs. Got the tire changed got to Lake and launched the boat. Got to our spot and trolling motor was acting weird. It was turning but the boat wouldn't move. Loaded boat and went home. Sheering pin was broke off so that was an easy fix but the new tires and U bolts cost me $350. Got it today. Always lots of stuff like that to deal with but dang, first trip!

Welcome to boat ownership! :-) Sorry, right to remain silent without the ability... Sorry about your troubles though. Sometimes it takes a while to work out the bugs.

My last boat, an older Nitro 640LX, put me through that kind of pain earlier this year. Bought two new tires, blew one on the way home from the lake the first day. Carb linkage broke. Again. Lower unit almost fell off. Electronics quit working.
So.
I sell some stocks, convince the wife I NEED a new boat. So I take the old Nitro in to try and trade it in on a 2015 Z8 Pro. Custom ordered with a TON of options. That was back in late April. Sign the papers, sell the old boat because trade in was gonna be brutal.
Now.
Last I heard my new boat will be ready AUGUST 1st!!!!!! Something about the custom colors and TM option is causing a big delay. I'm also stuck pond fishing. Can't stand going to a pond with 45 other people vying for the same little opening in the moss.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

One day I hooked my boat up to take to the shop for routine maintenance. Noticed I had a flat tire. Changed it out. On the way to the shop, two miles away had another blow out. thanks god for tandem axels. Got 4 brand new tires. 1st trip to lake winsboro had a flat. changed it out and got the flat repaired and now all good.
Thanks,

I was down at choke canyon for 3 day fishing trip. On the last day I was going to fish till lunch then head home but someone stole my drain plug. There wasn't a place to buy new one so I headed home. I was 20 miles from Mason Texas and had a blow out on a Sunday afternoon. When I pulled over I couldn't get jack underneath my truck. Luckily a guy pulled over to help that had smaller jack. Anyhow how if I would have fishing till noon then that would have put me in mason around 8pm on a Sunday. Back then there were no cell phones.

I came back from Desert Storm and went to Canada fishing. My wife had had my trailer painted and new boards put on as a surprise while I was on deploymet. Ten miles South of Cache Creek Canada a tire came off wheel and all. The shop had not tightened the lugnuts down and they broke off. Lucky it was just the one wheel but the spare was flat. Went on in to Cache Creek and the local tire dealer opened up for me (it was Saturday night and the drag races were in town) and called the NAPA dealer got me new studs and welded them in the hub. After we got back to town we went to dinner with him and his wife. He wouldn't let me buy anything when he found out I had just returned from deployment. The only rough part was the only hotel room available was above the local Pub and the racers were partying. Honky Tonk all night long, gave up trying to sleep and went down and joined in, free beer, fast cars, and fishing great homecoming leave.

We are going to give it another try this weekend. Hopefully it will be better. You failed to mention getting stuck getting the boat out of the driveway. Welcome to East Texas, my West Texas Friend!

2x4 block and a piece of a metal clothes hanger and you would have been good to go in less than 5 mins for free... gotta learn how to fix simple things.
