Headed to Port A this weekend. Anybody know if the kings are in at the jetty yet. If so, what are some go to baits or lures to catch them on. What else are biting out there this time of year??

Seems like it might be a tad early. But I dunno. Somebody will chirp in I hope.

It is kind of early to expect them that close. They could be there, but don't get your hopes up.

Man up. Fight the GOOD fight.

Lot's of good size smacks if you have clean water and pompanos closer in. Kings are around.

Silver spoons always work. With a short 4" section of 28# single strand wire in the front so you don't get cut off.

I don't do it anymore so here's my secret lure for kings. 7" black Rapala. Mine looks like a lawnmower chewed it up.

2+ on the short wire leader.

That's great news. I haven't seen a decent crab population since 2008.
