Made a run up to Cedar Creek this morning, and had the pleasure of Matthew Carroll riding along. Matthew said the docks were on fire, and man was he right!!! eeks
We hit the water about 6:45 and were shooting at 7.
Had a limit by 8:30! banana
Pulled about 20 off one dock, and left em biting. Didn't even hit a single brush pile. We were having too much fun shooting docks.
As for the "cookie cutter" comment, you can see from the pick all those black crappie are within an inch or so of each other.
Not a breath of wind and tolerable temps until we got off the lake around 11.
Just an all around fantastic day of fishing!
Always enjoy the company of ol Matthew "JIGUM" Carroll. wink

Well that makes me sick! I had the pleasure of fishing with Mr. Ken Gaby today on Cedar Creek. It was a perfect day, but we fished brush and they just weren't on the brush. To make matters worse, Ken was fishing with Belinda's secret weapon and I was out caught about four to one until I put one of the little critters on myself. The bite was not aggressive for us at all. I guess I am going to have to learn to shoot docks. We had a lot of fun anyway, but a limit in two hours, that's embarrassing. Thanks for the invite Ken, I really enjoyed the day.

1/16oz un-painted jig head w/ Wally's Shad Pole. Started with a pearl color and caught a few. Switched to emerald green/chartreuse and seemed to get bit more. Also used chartreuse/black. Don't think color really mattered though.
