It was pricey but was big on my bucket list so I saved up for it. That boat for three days with 2 captains, one mate, all the tackle & gourmet food. Plus the $2800 in fuel we burned totaled $9000. Divided by 6 anglers was $1500 each. And each angler got more fish to fight than we had the energy for. After a while it was fingers pointing and guys saying "NO, its your turn, I'm still resting". I would do it again- biggest fishing adventure I've ever been on.

Plus think of it this way, 1000lbs of tuna divided by 6, 167lbs each prior to cleaning, lets say you took home a mere 100lbs of yellowfin alone, at Whole Foods prices that's $2,500 worth. You came out ahead! And, man am I envious of the wahoo, my favorite fish in the ocean.

That is my foot, size 9-D ( if yer goin shoe shopin for me). That is a Tile fish. Caught them on bottom in 1400 ft water, used huge electric reels. Wasn't much for sport but they are big and delicious like crab or lobster. We filled a box with them then moved on to another game. And I agree with dougthehead, the Wahoo is the best.

If you have some extra (Wahoo) that you are trying to sell/make room in your full freezer/want to help a desperate soul who has tasted the awesomeness of Wahoo, please send me a pm. I'm willing to drive pretty far.
