Let's say about 4 carp happened to "find their way" into a private pond my buddy owns. Would they eat all the floating algae , and would they disturb the bass population?

Not really just a lot of nasty algae that seems to be coming from the bottom of the pond , looks like the same thing I see them sucking off of the slips at the lake

I'm no pond expert, but could the pond be going through it's "turn over"? If so, should be cleared up in a few days or weeks.

Yep.

Koi (still carp) would do better than wild carp, they'll eat grass and stuff, wild ones won't. Use only males or only females. Koi or carp, once in the pond, if they get a spawn off, they'll turn it to a mudhole.
