Yea I have a cabin rented the end of the month, kinda looks like I may be changing my plans. Maybe go back this fall and give it a try.

I grew up in the area, amazing to me. But it is ole man river flexing his muscle. Lot's of water.

River hasn't seen much pressure at all this year. Should be some great fishing when she gets back right again.

Am I seeing that right? The cabins that are normally at the waters edge have water to the roofs?

I wouldn't say the water is over those roofs but I can damn sure guarantee you the cabin we stayed in last year for Bass Champs Championship definitely has waist deep water in it. If there was any chance of Champs going back to the Red this year again in October I would say that is all but dead now. A friend of mine out there said the authorities are saying it won't be back to normal until Sept/October timeframe. Really sucks for all of those people over there. I saw other pictures last week with an entire row of nice river front home under water.

You need an escalator to walk onto a casino boat now. That's is unless you go to Margaritaville !!

Yea it's gonna b late this year. It will b August September below it reaches normal pool again since we have so many lakes up stream that have release more water again.


Also u have remember the river won't ever b the same after this. There will b many many new sand bars and spots completely silted in! Down town Shreveport where SciPort is has current at there front doors
