Hi all! I tried fishing some standing timber around the Miller Rd bridge today, and got nothing (unless you count turtles). If you know of an area with standing timber where crappie are hiding out on Ray Hubbard right now, could you please give me some pointers? I'm fairly new to this, and I'm fishing from a kayak, so any help would be greatly appreciated by my "sunburned legs from going from tree to tree".

PMs are most welcomed. Thanks!!!

Concentrate on the mouths of coves. Find the timber in 15 to 25 feet of water and fish the jig shallow to start. Work your way deeper as the sun comes up. You'll hook a few, and make sure you watch the slack in the line. That means FISH ON! thumb

I know most every inch of Ray Hubbard. Not sure of any visible timber right now where the crappie may be.

Do you have any electronics?
