Anyone catch any hybrids behind ray roberts yet, I've been once a few weeks ago but haven't heard anything, just wondering if they have came up yet

I've been fishing there for the last 2 weeks and haven't seen any hybrids caught. Catfish, drum and buffalo.

I would think the Roberts spillway has a very minimal amount of hybrids....

Ray Roberts tail race has seen a lot of Hybrids caught in the past. However, since the drought was so long, it will be a while before they come back up. They will be there soon enough. Last time I was down there the game warden said the thick log jams are slowing up some of the fish migration. Once those loosen up, you will see some of the bigger fish, including hybrids.

id be willing to wager that the log jams are way, way gone by this point. if the amount of water moving through the river recently was not enough to move the jam then you can consider them permanent. there could be new ones but I don't think the existing ones are still there. we will know more this summer after the lake comes down a bit

Lewisville does. I have caught plenty of my share out of that stretch of water between Roberts and Lewisville. Hybrids that is.

I was there last weekend and caught a small crappie and a tiny small mouth but was fishing a little further down from the gate not right on top where its over crowded. Did not see anyone else having any luck.

Thanks for the update. Was thinking about taking my daughter and trying to catch some bait for catfish or gar. May reconsider if it's still crowded.
