I rarely used the west side of Dalrock but not sure why they had to close it. Closing it created a real cluster on the east side. In years past my rule of getting off the lake by noon normally worked out pretty well. Not these days. Watching incompetent people load and unload boats is nerve racking. One lady was all the way out by the slips when hubby backed the trailer in. Maybe when the other lakes are usable Hubbard will settle down a little. Heath ramp looks real inviting right now.

That is summertime on Hubbard. The boat ramps look like the 3 stooges.

I thought it all belongs to Rowlett now. I have fished Hubbard for 15 years and never seen at 10:30 like it was on Sunday

I have fished Hubbard since I was old enough to hold a rod and reel. Have never seen the ramps on Hubbard as bad as they were this past weekend!!! I am not sure I will try to fish this next weekend or not based on what I saw Saturday.

I was told Rowlett may own it but due to private funds secured it the investors own it too. Investors are not interested in purchasing a liability policy or any kind of unnecessary cost. Plan is to shut it down and start planning and zoning for development.

dallas couldn't afford to maintain it so I don't see how rowlett can.

We did our 1st rhsa stocking at that ramp in 2013. Chosen by TPWD. I am glad I got to pick this time and glad I chose the Chaha ramp for this Thursday stocking.

Guess the lakes are up. More ppl are getting boats according to the news. So to avoid the crazy crowd, go eat at IHOP at 2am (with DoubleD), fish at 3am, be back to the ramp by 9am. Now I miss the drought? Lol

The ramp at Harbor Bay Marina was running full bore Saturday and Sunday. The ramp is always one of the most entertaining places on the lake. You see a little of everything. At Harbor Bay it is pretty easy to predict. Get there early and usually you won't have a difficult time unloading. However loading back up it is another story by noon it gets crazy. I am so glad my boat is on its lift at Harbor Bay. I think the crowding problem was due to the weather. This was actually the first weekend of good weather in a while.

On the lake was another story. If you think things were bad at the ramp multiply it by 5 times on the lake. Lots of rude behavior out there. Be very careful on Hubbard especially on the weekends.

I used Terry Ramp on Saturday. Put in 2pm ish and out around 8pm ish. Traffic wasn't as bad as the other ramps, still the usual problems, people loading and unloading, packing up while still parked on the ramp etc.

However, This ramp has no breakwater and is open directly to the lake. I liked that it had a dock, but your boat gets pounded while tied up. Also someone in a big boat passed right by the bouy's as I was driving the boat in. I thought the huge wave was going to float my little tin boat right over the trailer.

I hate paying $20 to launch my boat but at least at harbor bay the ramp is in protected water.

Once I fought to get on the lake, it was a mad house Sat .. not much fun for me. I probably wouldn't go out in the main lake again on a weekend until the other lakes open up and take some pressure off.

-good luck and be careful out there.

The fact that it is exposed is the problem with Terry if you are by yourself. Terry is the ramp where I almost came to blows with a jet flear who left his kids and jet skis floating over the ramp. Meanwhile my boat is taking abuse from the waves. Mouthy little dude until I got out of my truck.

Now I see there is a monster houseboat blocking half the parking at Robertson. There are going to be some very unhappy people if that is not out of there by Thursday afternoon.

I went to Terry Park Friday and the ramp was good. Returned to ramp after dark, park has no lights vary dark. had to us GPS to find ramp. There were some people acting strang at one of the docks. Be careful at night using this ramp. I will not go there at night again. I will pay $20 to be safe next time.

The nonsense that goes on at Hubbard (both at ramps as well as on the lake) is the sole reason I don't usually fish or boat there.

I wish I could always chase hybrids with the sandies, but it's just too easy to have your day partially ruined by a lot of the folks that frequent Hubbard.

Hubbard is no worse than Lewisville or Grapevine. Probably Lavon too but most of my time on Lavon has been spent in the sticks or during the week
