It was just way too calm!!!! My boat was shining way too much!!!! And my FAVORITE time of year is here I had Belinda put me in around 11am, idled straight out to a submerged treetop and immediately started piercing some lips I love fishing with a 1/32oz jig head and letting it slowly fall thru the fish. I think they bite it "Just Cause it's there!" After catching 20 gooduns, hardest part was to get down thru the small fish to where the larger ones are lurking, I fired up the big motor, put her in gear and started scanning for new submerged treetops. With the new water level, some of my old spots are too deep now and some that were too shallow last year, are perfect now I marked several new places holding fish After boating 35 over 11"s, wasn't keeping any, just fishing for the thump, I called Belinda and said "Uncle", I've had enough! Water temp was 88.7, fish are on submerged treetops in 24-28 fow, suspended 12-17 foot down. The bigger fish came on the outside, in the 16-17' range I sent Jigum a couple of pic's and told him the bite is fast & furious again.......within 30 seconds my phone was ringing If the weather is good, we'll go Wed

Very nice Todd. I noted that you didn't show which color they bit in the pictures but I would bet they were your Black Emerald Shiner baits.

Hush-Hush Ron I don't know how long the bite is gonna be good for this color, but I'm gonna ride the train till it derails The good news is that once that train derails there are many other fabulous colors to get the train back on track and full steam ahead.... Nice fish and report.

Yes sir, on those colors. And there are a couple more for Todd to work on soon. But it's hard to work on new colors when they're BITIN.

Today was the first morning in 2 weeks that they were not biting the black emerald shiner. Had to pull out the Angel jig today. Brought 7 nice keepers home...had to wade through the little ones and sand bass for those.

Gman What size was you using???? I had to downsize to the Lil' Fry with a 1/32oz jig head and it was back to business as usual. Ken was the 1st to notice this when we fished together and it's been the same on 2 trips since.
