Anyone got any advice on either of these lakes? I hadn't been on the water in at least two summers due to work and newborns. Finally managed to get out twice so far on Tawakoni with my dad, brought back one keeper. I think we've caught about a half dozen catfish total. Anyone got any advice on catching a few catfish on either lake? I've got some of Stubby's bait, love how it works, just haven't found the fish yet. I'm just out of the loop on fishing from the past couple years. Thanks.

I'd throw some maize out shallow on tawakoni, we have caught fish in 3 foot of water there year round on a cork. Find you a good point with the wind blowing across it or around the bridges. I haven't been there since the last rains but in the hill country they are thick in the flooded willow trees.

Didn't make it out. Went out on my parents boat with them and my 2yr old instead. Drove around Tawakoni for a bit. First time having the kid on the lake, he loved it. Got right in the water to swim too without hesitation. Wasn't fishing, but a great experience with one of my kidos. Couple years and I can take him on the lake fishing for a few hours. He loves fishing here at the ponds around the house, just gotta work on the patience.
