I live 2 miles from eagle mountain which seems like its not going to reopen today. Im sick of marine creek and never been to grapevine. I know that water was high but is it worth fishing right now and are ramps open?

Not sure if will impact Silverlake, but I just saw a news article that someone drowned there yesterday, and they were resuming recovery operations this morning.

Ya that was out of twin and their operations setup is out of murrell park! I doubt it will affect silverlake but might want to give them a quick call

sure Silver Lake is still open, was last week. $20. works fine, just single lane and only place to park boat is on ramp.

I think fishing has to be tough, water is way way back up in the trees. bait and fish breaking surface everywhere, but I think white bass. I would also check bubbles for catfish.

The only things I can catch are white bass and catfish. Been out 4 times in the last week... I've determined every last bass in the lake went over the spillway.

How many feet until the high water ramp at Murrel opens back up?

The COE cut the release to just over 700 cfs, despite Elm Fork being several feet down. I am not sure if that includes what is going over the spillway or not. Looks like it is going to be a long time before Gvine comes down.

You know I was over at silver lake this weekend and wondered - since you are not actually launching in the marina but actually launching from the road to the marina - marina drive - does the marina have the right to charge anything - does the marina own or lease the road?

my interpretation is they have had gates closed since before it went over spillway. the cfs is what has been going over spillway, since only about half foot over spillway now, it is down to about 700 cfs. it will be interesting to see how much they open the gates when it stops going over the spillway.

IMO - if you don't really know the lake, don't go. It's a tough lake on a normal day, right now it'd just be a cr@p shoot. The lake is as spread out as it has ever been and the water color is still horrible too.

I bet you it will be the last to drain in the metroplex! Wouldn't doubt if it was still 15ft high in October! I hope that's not the case
