Does anyone out there have the Outdoor Channel? Is it in HD? I was watching MLF the other day and it dawned on me (duh) that it wasn't in HD. I then realized that the Outdoor Channel itself isn't HD. I am on Direct TV.

What a bunch of [censored]! I just got an e-mail from the Outdoor Channel saying that Direct TV is not offering it in HD.

Once you've seen HD, everything else is stone-age.

Well, that's a ripoff. I've been watching it forever and never realized I was being ripped off. I guess I will have to just quit watching it.

Well I don't have an HD TV yet, so I don't know the difference yet! Waiting on it to go out I guess.

I just got an e-mail from DirecTV. They said that they don't have any plans on adding the Outdoor Channel to their HD line up but they do plan on adding additional HD channels in the near future. Huh? I responded by saying "well, why don't you just plan on adding Outdoor Channel in HD"!?!?

Time Warner Cable in SE Texas doesn't even carry the Outdoor Channel anymore. They found out all the best fishing shows were on it so they dropped it!

Does anybody like Time Warner Cable????

Fishing programs are a constant moving target on DirecTV. The Outdoor Channel and Pursuit have started and dropped numerous "Fishing Fridays" and such in the last 8 years I have had it. I have nothing against hunting. There is NEVER an hour that goes by that there isn't some sort of hunting show on. It doesn't matter if it's Summer or Winter, in-season, out of season, taping season, etc. Yet, those are the reasons I am given as to why no fishing is on.

Well guys you aren't missing much... I have outdoor channel and sportsman channel in hd. Problem is bow hunting is killing outdoor networks. Even in the off season. Oh and the nra and competitive shooting thing takes up a lot of air time. With the fishin shows its a bunch of re runs. I use you tube for educational fishing. Not to mention the sponsoring has gotten out of hand with TV fishing. You this brand or use that brand.... I'll get off my box now.

I like the Outdoor Channel, but Julie McQueen and the Sportsman Channel have my heart, and the rest of me.

I quit watching. Same 5 shows on repeat for a week or two with infomercials in between. The shows are so cluttered with endorsements the show is basically a long commercial. I don't blame them, they gotta make money. But when it takes 1 minute to reel in a fish and 2 minutes to name off all the endorsements, it gets old.
