I'm going to purchase a new transom mount trolling motor for a small 14 v-bow boat. Would I be better off getting a 12 volt or 24 volt? What is the difference between the two? Thanks for your help.

24 volt will have more power of course and battery charge will last longer

Only problem I see in a small boat is finding room for 3 batteries. Don't want to use your crank battery as a TM battery.
