I have my hds 8 hooked up to my Trevor. I was wanting to have the structure scan on it. Do you guys have any tips on how to do this?

On terrova there is only one way and that is to silicone the cable in the channel on the shaft ( Doug Verenberg has a video on you tube how to install it ). The problem is the Lowrance transducer cable is thicker than the humminbird cable and it makes it stiffer when pulling the motor up. Jeff Yafee and Pat fillet maker on here have done it and they can tell you more on how to do the lowrance.

If you have to units on your boat you can network the back one to the front unit.

I did not install my units but I have HDS8 on the ft and back of the boat and they are net worked together. Talk to Tommy Yetts at Rockwall marine. 972-771-4442

Not sure if structure scan would work very well on the trolling motor. I think the movement of the motor effects the picture. It is very easy to run the cable for sonar. I did it by watching you tube. If you want to net work that is easy too. It just takes a cable run between the two units. But remember you will be reading the mother unit and the transducer is on the back of the boat in most cases.

Pat is right. If I am on the ft of the boat I have to remember I am reading the rear of the boat.
