Plan on fishing this weekend up here in Oklahoma at decent sized lake that has been releasing water for a week or two, and will continue for another week or so. Will the fish be up shallow, or holding a few feet off the bank bc of the receding water line? The lake is about 8-10 ft above normal pool and muddy if that helps. Any tips on how to catch them? Thanks.

With the really muddy water at some lakes here, the shallower fish have been easier to catch. I am graphing deeper fish, but they are holding extremely tight to deep cover and not being very aggressive. I'd throw a weightless dark colored worm on the bank and twitch it back into the water. Dark colored jigs and pegged Trig dark colored craws pitched around shallowish cover (lily pads, grasses, man made cover, etc) has been productive also. If the dam has a drain, pitching the jig or Trig around that area has been good also. Try finding the clearest water and mudlines. With the wind picking up today, I'd also try some vibrating bladed swim jigs and big colorado bladed spinner baits in those areas.
