I thought the BRA did away with the Recreational Water Use Fees of $5 a day. Now I am not so sure as I cannot find a reference to it on the internet. Does anyone know?

After much further research, from the BRA web site, Press release of Oct 28, 2014, the water recreation user fee was eliminated. And the next release after that states all the rules for BRA 3 lakes, and there is no mention of a user fee.

I just purchased the annual permit in Feb 2015. From what the person at the store told me, the BRA is still enforcing the permit fees until Sept 1 2015. I would ask the BRA before I had to pay a citation on top of the permit fee. If you go to bra website, go to reservoirs, then to possum kingdom, then on the right about 1/4 way down the page is a list of pages you can go to. highlight property management, go to user fees. That is the only online thing I can find.
The first trip I took after the permit purchase, I was loading up and the BRA drove into the parking lot and watched while I loaded my boat and pulled up to tie it down. After I stopped and they could see my sticker on the boat they just drove on.
Better safe than sorry, better ask someone local.

PK Lake office confirms they are still charging for the year 2015 and this will be the last year. You will not need one in 2016.

After August 31st of 2015,no more daily BRA fee!

I did not mo d the fees. During the low water they kept boat ramps open and built several good low water ramps. The ramps are clean and the parks are patrolled. Well worth the five bucks.
