Have a new to me 2011 ranger 522

And I messed with the live well pump out valve. And now one of the pumps gets hot and overheats.

The port side pump works fine. But if I hit the L M H button the second pump tries to work and the panel light starts flashing. And the whole electrical system locks up. Have to throw off main breaker in the battery compartment.

Any thoughts are welcome.

Manual is at home and can't find one online

Sounds like the wires are crossed and if possible can you unplug it and take it out and look to see if it's clogged and check the wires, Then plug your other one in it's place and see if you get the same affects? Then you could pretty well figure it out from there.
