I'll be fishing Lake Fork next week from my 8-foot pond boat. Rather than going to Chaney Creek, as I usually do, I'm thinking of hitting the pads and shallows of Mustang Creek for the first time. I don't even know where to launch my trailered rig. If any of you have any tips or hints you're willing to share with me, I'd by forever in your debt. If you can help, please PM me.

Thanks,

Tom

Next weekend is the Skeeter Owners Tournament. I wouldn't get on Fork next week with an 8 ft pond boat. Good chance you could get swamped by all of the boat traffic.

Popes Landing would be ideal. Has a new dock so no need for bank landing. As mentioned, Skeeter Tournament is next week so I would not plan on any calm water for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Lots of boats.
