got these blanks before i went into the hospital and painted these yesterday. real simple black pattern. no frills. wanted to create a shadow look as this thing comes through the water at only a couple inches deep. tried a new technique for a mottled look on the nose of the first one and used a new black extreme glitter paint from folkart on the second. the black glitter paint is weird. it doesn't glitter and uses a gray carrier color for the glitter that dries almost clear. it does give a nice speckled effect that i can see a lot of uses for. and i couldn't resist using my new supply of reptile eyes on these.

you and me both. i'm really tired of feeling like [censored] so much of the time. hopefully this will do it. the prop baits look great in the water. i saw a pic of one that a guy had sanded the bill off of and made it a top water. clever idea. when you're going to place a blank order let me know and i'll add a few to it.

Have several of those "SpinJet" blanks in my stock...they're great. Can be fished several ways and they catch bass almost any way you fish them. Really like that top pattern....the grey splotched head is a very nice touch thumb

I'm a firm believer in a shad pattern on 95% of my moving baits.

Frog or Baby Bass thumb. I have one that's a greenish shad pattern...gets bit a lot.

Better late than never....

The top lure is a factory Depp's Spinjet. I marked it up with a sharpie....lose the red gill edge, gill marks and line of dots and it's all factory. The bottom lure is one I did last year on a KO blank. I have pretty good luck with these two lures, particularly in the early fall??

i like the one you did much better. colors are way more natural. btw i really enjoyed our visit the other day. we'll have to do it again (with the proper notifications to interested spousal parties). i'm going out of town for a couple weeks and will give you a buzz when i get back.don't know how i'm going to make it without my painting stuff.
