Does anyone happen to have any current reports on Fayette?

If so, what are you catching them on?

All the shad that were shallow a few weeks ago have seemingly vanished to deeper water. Water visibility was was down as well for some reason. Yesterday, I spent an hour or two in my favorite shallow water hot spot while a couple of old codgers put on a drop shop clinic right in front of me out in 12+. The whipping they put on me was downright embarrassing. Eventually I tucked tail and headed out to deeper water. Only wound up with 10 or so fish in 4 hours but they were all over 4 lbs. On the downside, there was a MASSIVE insect hatch of some kind last night. Billions upon billions of some sort of gnat. The lake was virtually unfishable after dark because of the swarm. The fish might not need to eat again for a week.

Went today and had a good bite in 15-20 foot of water on the edges of the tree lines. Was throwing dark worms.

I was there both Saturday (6th) and Sunday (7th) and didn't do well either day.

It sounds like going during the week is quite different.
