I'm pleased with my first attempt. Plenty of room for improvement, but it turned out better than I was expecting it to.

It was a sponge. I should have trimmed it a little smaller than I did.

Looks pretty dang good to me. If I had to judge I might say just a hair less green down the sides but a young crappie looks really close to that bait.

My second attempt was a little better. I used some of Dr Bois' advice and some of what I meant to do the first time. I accidentally sprayed the yellow way too low. It was only supposed to be the top half. I'm confident that my 3rd attempt will be what I'm looking for. First pic is what I was basing it off of.

Here is the one Bo did for me.

Life is one big playground. Be sure to ride all the rides before it closes.

That is a phenomenal representation of a crappie, I would love to be able to paint one that nice. Expecially on some deep divers, would be a sweet pattern on a cb20. If you interested in doing some trading I would love to have a couple in this pattern and would gladly paint you any of my patterns that you like. Or I would buy a few

I'd be more than happy to share the recipe or paint you some if that's what you'd prefer.
