If I'm not mistaken it is time for the blue cats to be in the holes spawning and the flatheads will be there soon.
A buddy of mine and I are heading to Richland Chambers Saturday night and was curious if we should target flatheads or blues. We will have both live and cut bait out, but we were curious if we should focus more on one than the other?

I caught blues in 2 ft water Monday. All male fish. Nothing big. Just eaters. Lake bonham.

I think your approach will be just fine. Good Luck! Ole Dalton nailed him a nice flatty on rod and reel the other day! Course that was on the Kansas River.

Yeah I saw that, Rick. We will be banking it and have caught some decent fish from the spot. Hopefully we will do well this weekend. I will keep y'all updated!

I was fishing the lower end of the kaw right below bowersock in lawrence when I hooked this one. There was a 73# flat and a 76# blue caught at the same spot I was at recently by someone I know....the river b is definitely producing still!!
