I don't know what the problem is, but, my old '94 90 horse Force starts up as goood as always, idles just fine, but won't get any speed. If I take the cowling off, the 3 carbs are tied together with a rod for the accelerator. When I have the boat in the water, I can push down on the rod and it runs like a screaming machine. yeah...I ain't any better at being a mechanic and sure can't describe it any bettter. GOOD GRIEF!!

Look at the arm your talking about when you move the control. What does it do? doesn't have to be in the water running. Sounds like something on the linkage came loose or the cable broke.
