Just got off the phone with TPWD biologist.. Medina Lake is scheduled to receive between 85,000 and 200,000 Florida LMB fingerlings in the next two weeks. The higher number would be on an availability basis.. But the lower one is going to happen for sure.. Well if anything is for sure..

Hope the city of San Antonio don't suck er dry in the first two years..

I hope folks don't get their hopes up too high because Medina has always had a history of being an up and down lake, and mostly down.
It's due to attitudes and the fact that there is even more people now than ever wanting to get as much water from the lake as they can.
Recreation and lakefront homes and businesses have always come in last in regards to water rights.
On a more positive note, maybe we'll continue to keep getting those rains that will help maintain the lake at least for a while.

I spent many an evening catching nice hybrid stripers from the Air Force marina there in the late '80s. How's that fishery been lately?

I'm hoping for the best but I'm thinking waste of money instead, they will drain it almost as fast as it rose.
