This is how I've rigged my new Lowrance Elite 4x CHIRP on my Cuda 12.

The HDI and CHIRP transducers are too large to use in a Cuda scupper hole. That means you need some sort of external mount. I took this skid plate mount idea from The Plastic Hull .

I bought a couple of 1" wire bulkheads from West Marine to run the cables inside the hull.

The second bulkhead went into the center hatch, just above where my battery is stored.

I created my own sliding mount for the display using the provided mount, a sheet of Lexan polycarbonate, bolts, and wing nuts. It's a solid mount, and cost next to nothing to make.

And now it's powered up, and ready to fish!

Excuse the dirty deck, I've been fishing. smile

Heavy lead, you just solved all my problems by posting this! I just bought the same fish finder a couple days ago and didn't know where to mount my transducer, I just bought a ram mount arm this morning for it and luckily saw this post then cancelled the order just in time. Thank you! cheers

I'm hesitant to drill holes below the water line. Have you had any problems?

Use the proper goop or sealant and you won't have any issues. thumb
