But every summer my Dad and I fish a river in Oklahoma, mainly for catfish, but there are bass, drum, carp, buffalo and alot more in it. The river has a water fall upstream leading into a quick moving stretch that drops off into a deep pool (around 30 ft!) And my question was what techniques/lures should i use to catch some good ones in the deep spot??? My Dad caught a 5 lb LM on a spinner bait last year and that was the only bass...

1/4 oz Rattletraps, small spinnerbaits, beetle spins, inline spinners such as mepps or panther martin. Throw them on a medium/light spinning rod and have a blast

There should be some bass in the eddys and on the edges of that current on the drop off. Agree with spoons along the drop off. Would also try a tail spinner like a wing ding/little george.

Revenge Tail Spinner Typically, little streams and rivers have smaller forage. Try one of these.
