Grew up on that lake. There are some good fish in that little gem.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways with a fishing rod in one hand, 10# LMB in the other, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and yelling "Wow! What a Ride!

Yes there are marked lanes. Very easy to get around on the lake. If you go close to or above the bridge be careful. Lots of stumps and most will all be just under the surface with all this water.

Growing up in north Louisiana we always heard about Murvaul, I may actually make it up there later this month on my way to Bossier! Finally.

Some of the best dock fishing I have ever seen. Very few pleasure boaters docks. Most docks will have some sort of brush pile close.

What are some good lodging choices close to the lake or on the lake? I saw some little cabins at the marina.

The cabins aren't bad around 80 a night I think, they're old but shouldn't matter
