When I was throwing it I also used a swimming fluke. Strike King caffeine shad I think it was with the paddle tail.

I'm thinking about some Lake Fork Magic Shad. I think that's their name. That's the right trailer. Go with the flat tail version. This time of the year, the 4.5" seems to work better for me.

Keitech Swing Impact Fat, Rage Craw, Rage Menace, LFT Magic Shad, Missile Baits D-Bomb. Tried a Keitech Crazy Flapper but the action just wasn't there.
Use whatever your heart desires and figure out when to tone down or beef up the action based on the fish mood.

As usual, Senko nailed it.
I've tried them all. For that presentation I've not found anything that produces as well as a LFT Lures Live Magic Shad. You can easily adjust the action of the lure with a LMS of varying sizes and adjustments to the skirt, blade, snap and line tie.
