absolutely, carp are omnivorous and prefer to eat crustaceans or water nymphs. Been catching carp on the fly longer than Ive been catching them euro style

There have been some HUGE Carp caught on fly rods. I would have loved to have seen the fights.

when I used to live in Springfield, ill the area lake every year would have a huge mayfly hatch during that time every type of fish in that lake would be going after them , we would catch them on topwater lures and on flyrods , i miss those days
