Hi..I'm taking my dad out there this Friday morning and I haven't seen any report on Tawakoni crappies. Anyone here been out there catching them? If so can someone point me the right direction? Need to put pop on some crappies. After that we going to chase for sandies, stripers, and hybrids. Thank you for any tips or suggestions.

Clear a pm or two...box is full
Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

I don't think Tawokoni will be a good crappie lake. Too many white bass. For every crappie you catch you'll get 10 sandies or Hybrids.
John 21:3 Simon Peter saith unto them, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee.

I used to crappie fish under 2 mile bridge. I put in by the public boat ramp (NW side of hwy 276) and go down about 20 pillars and start there. If nothing, move down a couple, keep doing this till u get 2 about pillar 40 or so then start back at 20. There are a couple of points NW of the boat ramp that are good for sand bass. I would tie on a white model A bomber and troll around the point till I found where the fish were. I haven't been there in years but I hope this helps.

two mile bridge does usually produce into early summer and maybe beyond but for sure into July. They are building a new bridge next to it so not sure how that may have affected the crappie there. It has been a few years since I fished the lake due to low levels. I would definitely trust what Kody's papa has to say about the crappie on Tawakoni.
