I normally fish at Benbrook I took my boat out to Benbrook yesterday and I hardly recognized the lake. lots and lots of water. does anyone know anything about lake Weatherford or mineral wells' conditions. never been to either one. but I have a friend who lives in grapevine and we picked this time to go fishing a while a go. he works a lot. so I thought about another lake. not looking forward to going to Benbrook for a while. I guess we could go back in the creeks and try catfishing. or go to Granbury and try sand bass. any advice? looked up the texas lake water levels and weatherford, mineral wells, and granbury are normal level. and Benbrook is 15 foot above normal level. thanks.

Mineral Wells is a great lake for crappie and catfish.

Weatherford is good for crappie and bass. If you like small yellow bass they are there in great numbers.

Both should be OK for boating.

Mineral Wells is my home lake. It is super filthy. Dark chocolate milk. Still plenty of floaters and the only bite right now is catfish. I was there all weekend and never had any luck. Nobody did really still a ton of water coming in the lake and the spillway was shut down all weekend.

Not sure on Weatherford.
