I was at Port A jetty this weekend. We saw some good size silver looking fish (about 2-3 ft) attacking surfacing bait fiah early in the morning. Can anyone identity what it is and best method of fishing them. Also, ive been hearing that the king fish are about to move in, when are good indicators to go for them. Also what are some of your methods to go after them. Thanks in advance, we did pretty good on the bull red this weekend. Caught about 15 keepers total. And 5 over 28 inches.

Really hard to say for sure. My guess it was either larger Spanish Mackerel, Jack Crevalle, or possibly even smaller Tarpon.

The fish you saw may have been skipjacks aka ladyfish. Not trying to play internet police but it isn't smart to have that many bull reds in a pic with no tags on them. I assume the tag can be on the tail and not in the pic.

There were 8 of us total. All fish over 28 were tagged once it was landed. Yeah we caught what looked to be a lady fish but these looked much bigger and more silver and aggresive

I'm with Fluke on the tags. Just be careful because you may get a lot of unwanted heat.
