I am going to get two full days on LBJ this weekend......never been

Any hazards I need to look out for?

Is the lake pretty safe to run? Any timber issues?

How about a general pattern? Docks or Humps?

Best place to launch near horshoe bay?

thank you guys

I was on it yesterday and will be on it again today. Mostly joy riding. I fished about an hour and didn't get a bite, but that doesn't mean anything. If you have a southern region Navionics chip, follow the map and you'll be fine. There are a few sand bars that are marked, but could have better marking. I heard the bouys moved a little with stronger-than-usual curents due t rain. You can launch at LBJ Yacht Club for $10. Safe and near the dam. Beautiful lake. If you want to eat, about the only place on the water is Boater's Bistro on the north end. BE CAREFUL going in there. entrance is marked, hug the orange bouys or you'll find your self in 1' of water. Food is ok, but the magaritas are awesome. If off water, YOU MUST EAT AT ON THE ROCKS. Awesome food, awesome view and they serve Save the World beer. It's on 2147. Good luck, be safe.

We fished TTZ there Saturday. Water was muddy from the in-flow on the lower end. I heard stories of it being crystal clear up in the colorado arm. We saw some floaters mid lake to lower end. Lake is at normal pool so any hazards should be marked already. I'd be throwing frogs in the morning and after that it just depends of how and where you fish. Senkos and jigs skipped back under docks always works.

i was there last weekend. water level was fluctuating quit a bit. i caught a 6lbr on a senko and a few other swimmers on shaky heads. lots of nasty stuff on bottom so a drop shot may work. as everyone has stated its very dirty. lots of shad and bream in the back of the feeder creeks. good luck!
