Went over to rowlett today and picked up a new Jackson Big Tuna from Kayak Instruction. Dave was a big help and took care of me. This is my first kayak, and I got it to take out on lake lavon. I live on the east side of the lake and can put in the water a few houses down from mine through a neighbors yard. Did a little fishing but mostly just got used to the kayak. Sure is a nice and stable ride. Doesn't feel tipy at all and I can move around pretty good with all feeling like it is going to flip. Looking forward to doing a bunch of fishing out of it. Any pointers or tips would be appreciated.
Walter

You got the exact big tuna I got I love mine its as close to bass boat as I can get I suggest you build a cart or buy one its almost impossible for me to move mine by myself. I have enjoyed rigging mine out with outriggers, trolling motor, gps, side scan, down imaging, flag pole with light, ancor trolley, its even registered and titled. I went over board but I feel very safe in it and my daughter loves it I takd 3 people out on it all the time best yak on the market enjoy it.

Good thing is I can get close to the water from the neighbors a few houses down. But from his driveway to the water if fifty yards or so. I will get a cart cause dragging it through the grass is not much fun and it was empty. Walter

I have a big tuna as well and enjoy it on Lavon often since I live in Allen. Congrats on your purchase!

I'm east of Allen in Branch, other side of the lake. I was curious if any of you guys know if they will let you cart down to the water at Lavonia park. I know the park is closed but I want to fish the rocks along the dam and I don't know of a better place to launch than Lavonia. Kinda wondering if I can get to the south ramp. Not sure when I'll go though. Thanks
