Nice! At least we gained a little on it. Now if they would just stop releasing water from it. Thanks for the Pic's.

Welcome to Choke Canyon, the slowest filling lake in Texas! This level is actually the danger zone, all of those hidden wells and tree tops are now just under the surface. I hate the lake at this level, it's scary.

Oh and looky there, they are only letting out 1,000cfs. Thank you Mr. Dam-master! You are a freaking (insert vulgar word) idiot.

The silver lining I guess is that those small trees along the shoreline are going to just keep getting bigger, and when we finally get enough to fill the lake there will be plenty of freshly flooded trees where the bass and baitfish can hide.
If you notice those tops of the stumps are going to be just at or below the waterline.
Better be careful and not run wot thinking you don't have anything below. Very dangerous if you don't know where the channel is.

Cool comparison photos!
And you're right Jimbo...there is a silver lining in all the time these trees are allowed to grow. But Lord, please don't make us wait too many years to be able to fish them fish

Fishnbud, you have no idea how badly I'd like to take that pretty boat of yours up into those trees and try to catch some bigguns'. Of course the snakes might hop in the boat with us though. woot

I guess they needed to flood the Nueces even more so they had to let the water out of Choke.

Nah,...I think that boat is better suited to smoothing out those whitecaps on either Falcon or Amistad! fish

Hah! It's good for a lot of things...but snakes are no bueno! Believe me when that lake comes up a little more, you'll see me in there bumpin' and grinding in those trees all day long looking for that 1 big bite thumb My boat's got plenty of those "character marks" cheers
