Got blown off Hubbard creek this morning so I wanted to fish this river. Probably the first hole below the dam. Where should I put in at, and would it be viable?

Hwy 16 bridge is the best place to put in below the dam, and really the only feasible location to launch a kayak.

It's currently flowing at 8,480 cfs, so I would not fish there. Way too much flow.

I should've, but I didn't. There were a couple people fishing below the dam, but no bites from them
