Anyone been up there in the last couple of weeks? Thinking of taking a buddy up that way tomorrow. Just wondering what the water, vegetation, etc looks like.

I do not know where you can launch. Shirley is good. IDK about kingtown. I wouldn't launch at Ferry or 103. Good Luck keep us posted.

I was just going to put in at Cassels and run up that way. I've only been up there a couple of times. I have the boat lanes chip and insurance is current. LOL

I talked with a buddy that has (well- had) some trotlines up there. He said it is really blowed out. Running up there should be ok, except for a Rogue Stump and Floaters. Will be interesting if the fishing is any good.

Why don't you just put in at the park on 103? Makes more sense that wasting fuel running.

Wish we could have done that in the inaugural PTT at Rayburn. Running from Umphrey Pavilion to N of 103 in 22 mph N winds gusting to 30 and 36 degrees with mist/sleet was about the worst conditions I can ever recall in a bass boat.

Was up there 3 weeks ago, couple of pockets of clearer water. Course that was 5 ft of water ago.

There is NO park at 103 NOW. Just a very shallow parking Lot. I haven't been there myself but was told this morning the water was up to the cabins at Ewing Park on the West side of 103 and Etoile Park was up past the parking lot. The water is so shallow that it is hard to launch the boat without launching the Truck! LOL

The water is very high and the fishing for bass is good, the water looks like this:
