Anyone know where I can drag a kayak into the river from the dam area. Was up there the other day and noticed access to the flood gate area was restricted.

Decided to just go on down there and check it for myself. Defently doable from the spillway. Pitched some of my favorite lures into the current hoping to catch a hungry striper or two but no bueno.

Yea I've done it before just have to have a ride back to your vehicle because there's no paddling back upstream in THAT current. Toting a kayak down those stairs isn't really a big deal or should I say drag. I'm 50 so you want find me carrying the thing. Discharge from the gate is 3200 plus cf/s. It's going to have to fall below 1200 before I even think about putting in up there.
