Ok I've got 1 whole week to go fish and I just don't know where. I usually go to falcon but haven't really heard anything coming out of there. So where should I go best fishing in Texas.

Update: we are going to toledo bend with the overwhelming and quick response of how good toledo bend is i don't think we have a choice. any advice or tips or info on what baits we need would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much everybody!

Toledo Bend, never fished it but have always wanted to. Always hear good things about it, the recent big bass splash was won with an 11+

Toledo Bend is the best right now by far IMO. Lake is still a little high and the frog bite is INSANE.

Toledo. Fork is great but lots of pressure. Don't spend a week worrying about what other boats are doing...go to Toledo.

Considering the hot and cold bite at Fork, I'd go to TB

My personal preference is Mid lake, say Indian Mounds area up to Patroon.

OK, normally I would post because this is so subjective.
BUT
I have now fished possibly every lake in Texas
2 weeks ago I would have said, Falcon, just for pure fishing. Staying with guide Billy Tompkins at his rental and cooking out.
After spending 4 days on Toledo Bend, I now say TB for the total package.
Which has to include travel time. 2.5 hrs vs 9 hrs
The fishing on TB is absolutely fantastic. Beats Fork & Sam Rayburn all to heck.
Can't wait to go back & learn more about it

Way too muddy for HC right now..Besides, going to take a little while before the fish settle down. A lot of new water for not a whole lot of fish that were left after the drought..Unless your Catfishing..
