where do you go when its windy around the Abilene area? lakes like fort phantom, Stamford, and Hubbard creek

As far as Stamford and Hubbard creek I don't have a clue, I've never fished them. Phantom the only place is the inlet on the east side of the lake. Normally if it's over 15 mph I don't go.

Hubbard creek hasn't had enough water to put in.
Phantom is almost unfishable from a boat when it's windy.
Don't know much about Stamford but, I do know it got dangerously low and there was a fish kill do to lack of oxygen a while back

Lake Daniels south of Breckenridge is worth a look. Records for white and black crappie is near 3lbs. Not a lot of pressure I wouldn't think. Hubbard only really has one park on the dam side for bank access. It's came up and the ramp is good, but if is too windy on phantom it's usually too windy at Hubbard for a boat. Stamford has came way up and the fish kill had a small affect from what the report said. We've caught lots of catfish since the fish kill anyway.

I might try lake Daniels...has anyone been to possum kingdom? I want to take a trip next Tuesday to spend the day but before spending the money I want to make sure it's worth it...it'll be me and my girlfriend who loves to fish
